Details

Provide current OT and PT graduate students with valuable insights and guidance on personal experiences as a therapist who identifies with a marginalized community. The panel will focus on preparing students for the realities of professional practice and how to navigate the workplace. The panel will share personal experiences of challenges they have encountered, how they have handled them, and offer strategies for navigating these challenges while maintaining professionalism, self-care, and continued therapy to patients. Discussions will also emphasize ways to promote awareness, advocacy, and the importance of addressing discriminatory behaviors within the profession.
