The MCPHS University student chapter of the American Association of Psychiatric Pharmacists exists to educate students about individuals with psychiatric and neurologic illnesses and introduce them to careers and roles in pharmacy involving these illnesses. Additionally, we strive to reduce the stigma associated with these illnesses so that students provide higher quality care to patients with mental illnesses when they graduate.

The mission of AAPHD is to provide community awareness to MCPHS pre-dental and dental hygiene students, to engage MCPHS pre-dental and dental hygiene students in conversation about dental public health issues, and to provide leadership from MCPHS pre-dental and dental hygiene students to ensure optimal oral health for individuals and communities.

Members of AAPHD have access to meetings with Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine, Harvard School of Dental Medicine, and Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Members of AAPHD will also be granted dental volunteer opportunities at events such as Mission of Mercy, Colgate Bright Smiles, and Special Olympics.
